Prize Possession-Studio Friday

Here's my entry for this past Studio Friday topic of "Prize Possession"
Can you see who's autograph it is? I'm so grateful to my Mom for getting me in the habit of collecting autographs back when I was young.
I don't collect autographs much anymore, but this one was worth it all.

Great Amy! Now HE's an artist. What a great treasure! I had so many art teachers say that Rockwell was just a technician - not a real artist. Phooey! He portrayed the human condition like few others have and almost singlehandedly documented the better part of the 20th century for all of us. Can you tell I'm a big fan!?

bee'nme, I know what you mean. I'd love to see any of those people try to create images close to what Rockwell created. It's not just the technical skill he had, but his vision, sense of humor, and the way he captured history and human nature.

What a great treasure you have, a real prized possession! I don't quite know who he is, I'm still so new to this continent and culture here. So much to learn for me even if it might take a loong time...hahaha. :-D

Tine,
It's Norman Rockwell, who is one of the most famous American illustrators of our time. Here's a link to see some of his work:
