Early Children's Books and Illustrations
Here's a peek at a few collectible children's books and the illustrations in them. I am a sucker for old children's illustrations. The quality of linework in most of the early books is stunning.

I am a sucker for these too. I have always loved the work of the early illustrators. Maud and Miska Petersham are among my favorites and recently I was able to purchase three Arthur Rackham treasuries. I love looking at these illustrations for so many reasons. One of the reasons is the work they illustrated, not just fairy tales, but old literary masters and even Shakespeare and the Operas.
