I was referred to this link by a writer I know. Look at these incredible wooden carvings and sculptures by John Magnan! His work is spectacular. I'd love to see the work in person.
I just finished reading Kira-Kira, winner of the 2005 Newberry Medal. What a moving, haunting, glorious story.
